Upon successful completion of the course you will be issued with a NSW OLGR RSA Interim Certificate & an Infront Staffing Statement of Attainment for Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol SITHFAB201.  You may choose to have these emailed to you or take with you at the completion of the course.

Your OLGR RSA Certificate will allow you to work immediately in NSW, but is only valid for 90 days, therefore you will need to visit an Australia Post outlet within this timeframe to apply for your RSA photo card (no additional cost as is included in the course price). Your photo card will then be mailed to your nominated address.  The RSA photo card is valid for five years.

The Infront Staffing & Training Statement of Attainment for this nationally recognised unit will allow you to work in QLD, NT, SA, WA & TAS.  The ACT & Victoria have separate rules and require that the course is either taken within their state/territory or that a bridging unit is conducted.  The Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

Note: If you already have a NSW OLGR RCG photocard you will not be required to make an additional application for your RSA photocard at Australia Post. You will instead be provided with a form for a replacement card which will only need to be submitted to the OLGR, with your new updated photocard then mailed directly to your nominated address.

MINIMUM AGE No age restrictions apply however participants must note that they will need to be a minimum 18 years of age to work in areas associated with the service and sale of alcohol.
OUTCOMES Upon successful completion of the course you will be issued with a NSW Office of Liquor Gaming & Racing Interim Certificate for Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), allowing you to work immediately in NSW. Obtaining Your Certificate/Photo Card in the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)

The Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate/Photo Card is required for any Australian employee working in a position related to the sale and distribution of alcohol. The RSA can be obtained by completing the course which focuses on harm minimisation. The course can be completed in class or online. Even for individuals not directly serving alcohol, learning how to spot problem drinkers and to avoid potentially dangerous, alcohol-related problems is important. It is vital not only for employees and patrons safety, but is necessary to protect employers from liability for resulting damages or injuries.

Approved by the NSW Office of Liquor Gaming & Racing, this course is mandatory for all people involved in the retail sale, supply or service of liquor in licensed venues in NSW. Topics covered during the course are;

  • Impacts of Alcohol Abuse
  • RSA Strategies
  • RSA Outcomes

Please note that to take part in this course, you must have a reasonable command of English. If you believe you may need assistance with language, literacy or numeracy, please contact us prior to making a booking. All participants will be required to take a very short quiz prior to the commencement of the course in order to demonstrate their proficiency in English and numeracy.

WHEREM

The RSA course is completed at the Infront Staffing & Training city training rooms, located on Level 2, 283-285 Clarence Street, Sydney. (Infront Staffing & Training is an ASQA approved Registered Training Organisation – provider #91376)

PRICE

The standard prices for enrolment into the RSA course is $140 for individuals paying in person, by phone or for invoiced clients. Infront Staffing and Training also offer the reduced cost of $110 for person's who choose to enrol online via our website. These prices are fully inclusive of card fees, and no additional charges apply.

We also offer discounts on multiple course bookings – based on the online rate of $110 the following discounted rates would apply;

  • x2 = $104.50 per person
  • x3 = $99 per person

*Package rules apply when booking multiple courses within the same transaction and can also be applied to the standard rates for invoiced clients or if booking over the phone.

DURATION

The duration of the RSA course is one day, which allows successful students to begin work immediately. The NSW OLGR mandates a minimum six hours training for all classroom facilitated courses. The course can also be completed online at your own pace if attending a classroom session is not suitable for you.

WHAT TO BRING

On the day of your course you are required to bring one form of photo ID and a pen.

It is worth noting that when applying for your photo card at Australia Post (following the successful completion of the course), 100 points of ID will be required.

WHEN

The RSA course begins at 9.30am and can be completed on Tuesdays and Saturdays (public holidays excluded) or online at any time.

For those attending classroom sessions, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to course start time to allow for pre course administration.

OUTCOMES

Upon successful completion, participants will be issued with the following:

  • NSW OLGR Interim Certificate (allowing you to work immediately – this is valid for 90 days in which time you will be required to attend an Australia Post outlet with 100 points of ID to apply for your NSW RSA photo card. No additional fees are required for the photo card as this is included in your course fees.
  • A Statement of Attainment for Provide Responsible Service of Alochol (SITHFAB201) issued by Infront Staffing & Training (RTO provider # 91376). This document is nationally recognised and will allow you to work in QLD, NT, SA, WA & TAS. Bridging units are required for those who wish to work in VIC and the ACT.
