When looking for a job working on a building or construction site in New South Wales, WorkCover - the State Occupational Health and Safety body, requires that you have completed an accredited safety training course and that you hold a current Occupational Health and Safety Construction Induction certificate (Green Card or more recently becoming known as White Card).
This essential training provides you, your family, the authorities and your employers with the peace of mind that you are aware of the need to be vigilant about on-the-job safety. The course includes important areas such as:
- Identifying, assessing and controlling workplace hazards.
- Familiarising you with current legislation.
- Your rights should an issue arise.
- Handling emergencies and injury management.
- Your OH&S responsibilities whilst working onsite.
Infront Staffing Green Card courses are conducted by approved NSW WorkCover trainers. Please note that WorkCover imposes strict guidelines requiring all course attendees bring Proof of Identity (POI) to the course. It is a legal requirement that Trainers view your Proof of Identity at the commencement of your course and will not be able to you allow you to sit the course without doing so.
